Start today the new Google privacy policy

Despite European Union warning Google goes ahead and replaces the old more than 60 different privacy policies with a single new one. On february 3 EU authorities, led by french data protection watchdog CNIL, asked for a "pause" to better analyse the new situation saying the giant might violate the European Data Protection Directive

With the new aut-aut policy Google unify all its services merging all data user accounts in a single database. All offers, including Gmail, Blogger, Youtube, Google maps, Picasa, and G+, are now going to chat each others improving the Google recommendation system that will be able since now on to give users more customized search results and targeted ads.

It is huge the amount of personal data the giant of Mountain View might have, policy itself says the search engine collects "personal information, like your name, email address, telephone number or credit card".  Moreover, supported by software like Chrome and Android devices, Google has become a omnipressent service in users life capable to detect anytime even their location.

It seems only a few of the 2 billion users has spent time reading the new policy. If you at least want to know the personal data you gave to Google and the services you are making use of visit the dashboard here.
